The Coach’s Club: We realize that losing weight and keeping it off is a lifetime program. And we are dedicated to being there for you. Our coaches and dietary specialists are there for you at all times when you sign up for the monthly supplements and e-mail support. Whether the problem is motivation, or a specific food, we will support and direct you when you join the coaches club. You’re not in this alone! We’ll have a 24-hour hot line to talk you through temptation and frustration in your diet and daily decisions. Our coaches are all highly knowledgeable nutritionists, trained to help you understand your physiological and psychological weakness and overcome them. We have dozens of lesson plans to help and guide you in you journey back to health. These plans have already proven to be tremendously beneficial to our most trusted clients. The Future And You: We cannot roll back the evolutionary or technological clock. We cannot easily recreate the neighborhoods of old where people not only lived in adjoining row houses but traded knowledge and skills. We cannot return daily to nature and forage for the most beneficial fruits and vegetables. We cannot run and exercise for hours a day. We cannot easily revert to the daily interactions of an extended family. Maybe we can’t do all the things in our lives that we desire. But we can add a few simple supplements to our diet, cut down on the most destructive of our eating habits, walk around the block before we eat, call a friend and tell them how much we care about them, say hello to a stranger, put a quarter in the offer box of a street person. It is that simple to generate an endorphin response. Just use all the means available to us right now rather than wait for the ideal person to come into our lives, or the promotion to hit, or to get caught up on all the bills. What we can do is be constantly aware that what we crave are feelings of euphoria and pain relief, not food – and that there are numerous way of gaining that feeling that not only do not harm us, but bring people closer together, gain personal and social support, and lead to improved mental and physical health. Obesity has less to do with food than with immediate gratification and a desire for physiological and psychological balance. The key is to balance one’s life, not just ones diet! The changes you will make will not require a complete personality makeover. The end result is that you will love yourself more; you will be a better spouse, parent, a more successful employer or employee, a better friend, and a more involved neighbor. The information and direction these books provide will enable you to fulfill the hopes and dreams and goals you have stored away for years.
